Privacy Policy

feelfree.to (“we”, “us”) is a small calendar-sharing app that lets you post activities you’re open to, so friends can tag along. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how to remove it.

What we collect

• Account info. When you register or sign in, we store your email address or phone number, display name, and (if you sign in with Google or Apple) a profile picture URL provided by that identity provider.
• Activities you post. Titles, descriptions, dates, times, locations, and any notes you choose to add.
• Connections.The list of friends you’ve connected with on the service, so we know who can see your shared activities.
• Settings. Notification and calendar-sync preferences you choose in the app.
• Basic technical logs. Standard server logs (request paths, timestamps, error traces) used to keep the service running and debug issues.

Google sign-in and Google Calendar

If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, name, and profile picture from Google’s OpenID Connect endpoint. We use this only to create and identify your account.

If you opt into Google Calendar sync, we request thehttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.app.createdscope. This scope only allows us to create and manage a dedicated calendar that this app itself creates in your Google account. We cannot read, modify, or delete any of your other Google calendars or events. We use this access strictly to mirror the activities you’ve chosen to share into that dedicated calendar so you can see them in Google Calendar.

Use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell or transfer Google user data, do not use it for advertising, and do not allow humans to read it except as required for security, with your explicit consent, or to comply with applicable law.

How we use your information

• To operate the service: showing your activities to friends you’ve connected with, and theirs to you.
• To sync activities to your Google Calendar, if you’ve enabled that feature.
• To send transactional notifications (push, SMS) you’ve enabled in settings.
• To diagnose, secure, and improve the service.

We do not sell personal information. We do not run advertising on the service. We do not use your data to train AI models.

Sharing

Activities you post are visible to the friends you’ve connected with on the service. We share data with service providers only where necessary to operate the service — for example, our hosting provider, Google Calendar when you’ve opted in, and Twilio when you’ve added a phone number (used solely to send verification codes and notifications you’ve enabled). We may disclose information if required by law.

If you provide a phone number, you consent to receive SMS messages from us. You can opt out at any time by removing your phone number or disabling SMS notifications in Settings. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe immediately.

Retention and deletion

We retain your data while your account is active. You can delete individual activities at any time. To delete your account and associated data, or to revoke our access to your Google account, email [email protected]. You can also revoke this app’s access at any time from your Google Account permissions page.

Security

We use TLS in transit, store OAuth tokens encrypted at rest, and apply standard access controls. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, an in-app notice.
